Ingredients

8 oz elbow macaroni

2 cups shredded cooked chicken

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup honey

1 teaspoon black pepper (adjust to taste)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 1/2 cups milk

1/2 cup breadcrumbs

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Salt to taste

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese Sauce: In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the cream cheese and milk. Stir until the cream cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.

Add Cheeses and Seasoning: Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sharp cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Mix until the cheese has melted and the sauce is creamy.

Incorporate Chicken and Honey: Add the shredded cooked chicken and honey to the cheese sauce. Stir well to combine, letting the chicken absorb the flavors for about 2-3 minutes.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked macaroni to the sauce and mix until the pasta is fully coated with the creamy chicken mixture.

Prepare for Baking: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture into a baking dish, spreading it evenly.

Breadcrumb Topping: In a small bowl, mix the breadcrumbs with olive oil until well combined. Sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the top of the mac and cheese.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
