Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup of sliced pepperoni

1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning

1 egg (for egg wash)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Open the can of crescent roll dough and carefully unroll it onto a flat surface. Separate the dough into triangles following the perforations.

On the wider end of each triangle, sprinkle about a tablespoon of shredded mozzarella cheese, followed by a slice or two of pepperoni.

Sprinkle a bit of grated Parmesan cheese and a pinch of Italian seasoning over the filling.

Starting from the wide end, roll each croissant triangle toward the point to create a spiral shape. Place them on the lined baking sheet with the point facing down.

In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the rolled croissants to give them a golden finish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and puffed up.

Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
