Ingredients

1 pound ground chicken

1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped

1 cup shredded white cheddar cheese

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for crunch)

1 small onion, finely diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil (for cooking)

Burger buns (for serving)

Optional toppings: sliced avocado, tomato, lettuce, and your favorite condiments

Instructions

Prepare the Spinach: In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil. Sauté the chopped spinach until wilted, approximately 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, sautéed spinach, shredded white cheddar, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.

Shape Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.

Cook the Burgers: Heat a skillet or grill over medium heat. Add a little olive oil to coat the surface. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and have a nice golden-brown crust. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (75°C).

Toast the Buns: While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster for added texture and flavor.

Assemble Your Burgers: Place each cooked chicken patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Add optional toppings such as avocado, tomato, and lettuce. Spread your favorite condiments on the top half of the bun and place it on top to complete the burger.

Serve: Serve hot with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh salad for a delicious meal. Enjoy your White Cheddar and Spinach Chicken Burgers!
